Class teaches about influences of food ads

first_imgBrush Prairie – Washington State University Clark County Extension is offering a free class to teach families how to be aware of the influences of food advertising.The FoodMania Media Literacy class is for children ages 9 to 14 and their parents. Each class will include an interactive lesson for adults and youth, dinner and a $25 grocery store gift card. In addition to education about food advertising, participants will learn how to make healthy eating choices.Classes will take place 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays from Oct. 5 through Nov. 9 at CASEE, 11104 N.E. 149th St., Brush Prairie.
