first_imgMauricio Pochettino has emerged as a leading candidate to take over as manager of Chelsea, but former Blues goalkeeper Mark Bosnich has told talkSPORT that Tottenham should fight for their boss.Reports on Wednesday have claimed the Argentine coach is one of five names, along with the likes of Diego Simeone and Didier Deschamps, on Chelsea’s shortlist to replace interim boss Guus Hiddink.Pochettino has impressed in his two seasons in the White Hart Lane hotseat, transforming Spurs into potential Premier League title contenders with his attacking ethos and focus on the development of young players.His methods and manner, which is in stark contrast to axed manager Jose Mourinho’s harsh nature, are thought to appeal to Chelsea as they search for their next long-term chief.And, when asked about the rumours, ex-Blues glovesman Bosnich told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: “Pochettino is hot property, everyone has seen what he’s done with Spurs.“Tottenham were a side that looked fine when everything was going well for them, but when it started raining, metaphorically, they’d go under.
